A warm welcome to the cosy Hostel Cafe Huvila! Our hostel offers unique and communal accommodation in a villa built in 1856.
This historic and precious villa has recently been lovingly renovated for our guests.

Hostel in the best location in Oulu
Hostel Cafe Huvila is located in Toppilansalmi, Oulu, close to all services. Nearby you will find one of the best K-Supermarkets in Northern Finland, a pharmacy and pizzerias. Within walking distance is the lovely Nallikari and the beautiful walking/biking trails of Hietasaari.
Oulu city centre can be easily reached on foot or by bike (about 3 km) or by bus in about 10 minutes. There is a bus stop a couple of hundred metres away.
There are plenty of parking spaces and free parking in the yard of our hostel. An electric car charging point will be added to our site later, when the yard work is completed.

Our hostel can accommodate up to 30 people. The villa has one double private room and five shared rooms for 4-6 people.
Guests have access to a shared kitchen and lounge area and shared bathrooms. Linen, towels and basic breakfast items are included in the price.
Some rooms can accommodate pets.

Arrival and check-in at the hostel
Arrival
Our hostel is located at Panimotie 1 in Toppilansalmi, Oulu. If you arrive by car, you can easily leave your car directly in the yard of our hostel, where there are plenty of parking spaces and free parking.
From the airport
Hostel Cafe Huvila is 20 km from Oulu Airport (taxi about 45 €, travel time about 22 minutes).
From the railway station / city centre
Buses 8 and 9 take you to the centre of Oulu, from where buses 4, 21, 20 and others go to Toppilansalmi. Travel time is about 46-60 minutes.
You can easily check the Oulu region bus route guide for the most suitable buses.
From the bus station
The distance from the bus station to our hostel is about 3,9 km. The easiest way to get there is by taxi, bus or walking in about 10 minutes.
Check-in
Our hostel uses self-service check-in, so you can stay at the hostel according to your own schedule.
The room/bed will be available for you from 15:00 on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, the room/bed must be vacated by 11 am.
Access to the hostel is by key code, which you will receive before your stay.
